Swedish Model 96 Mauser bolt action rifle by Carl Gustafs, 6.5 x 55 caliber, Serial #15820. The rifle is in good overall condition with 29” import marked barrel with a ramped blade front and military tangentstyle rear sights, with the cleaning rod retained. The metal surfaces retain a significant amount of their military finish with wear at the muzzle. The front ring is marked Carl Gustafs, features the Swedishcrest and is dated 1899. The smooth wood stocks are in good condition with small mars and compressions. The brass gauge disc is intact on the right side of the butt stock which ends with a smooth steel butt plate.The bore is good, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp. Est.: $250-$500. (C+R).
